Elvar Trust is a registered charitable trust based in Basavanagudi, Bangalore. While our formal journey began in 2026, the spirit behind it has been alive for years — in quiet meals shared, in school supplies given, in small acts of care extended to those around us who needed it most.
We don't wait for large budgets or perfect conditions. We serve now, with what we have, together with a community of donors and friends from all walks of life. Over the past three years, we have collectively spent over ₹5 lakhs across our programmes — every rupee given and used with care.
Our four pillars — Education, Food, Healthcare, and Mental Health — represent the most fundamental needs of the most vulnerable people around us. Every initiative we run flows from a simple conviction: every person deserves dignity.

Books, stationery, and learning resources for children who would otherwise go without — because every mind deserves a chance to grow.
✔ In partnership with HKWA Foundation, distributing ~30,000 notebooks to ~4,000 children across 160 Government schools in Alur & Hassan. Provided books, stationery and a donated projector for a smart class at a Government school in Kanakapura. College fees paid for 4 young women through IJAM Charity.
Food
Monthly ration kits to families who need it most — delivered quietly, personally, at their doorstep. Dignity begins at the table.
✔ Every month: 20 families near Mahalakshmi Layout, Bangalore receive rice & dal ration kits, doorstep delivered. Tarpaulins provided to 28 tribal homes in Gauribidanur. 250 flasks distributed at Kidwai Children's Hospital.
Healthcare
Free eye camps, healthcare distributions, and referrals for underserved communities — because health is a right, not a privilege.

Flask Distribution — Kidwai Children's Hospital
Families of children undergoing treatment at Kidwai Hospital spend days and nights in corridors with no access to warm water. A flask is a small thing — but for a parent who has not left the hospital in three days, it is the difference between a warm drink and nothing. Elvar Trust distributed 250 flasks to families at Kidwai Children's Hospital.

Tarpaulins for Tribal Families — Gauribidanur
In a tribal community in Gauribidanur, 28 families were living in homes with damaged or inadequate roofing — exposed to rain and harsh weather. Elvar Trust provided tarpaulins to cover all 28 homes. It is a practical, immediate act of care: shelter for those who have little, delivered without conditions.

30,000 Notebooks to Government School Children
In rural Karnataka, a notebook is not a given. Many Government school children begin the academic year sharing whatever paper they can find. Elvar Trust, in partnership with the Hanjalige Kalingappa Welfare Association (HKWA), is supporting the distribution of approximately 30,000 notebooks to around 4,000 children across 160 Government schools in Alur and Hassan, Karnataka.

Books, Stationery & Smart Class — Kanakapura Government School
Elvar Trust provided books and stationery to Mitralaya Girls High School in Kanakapura and enabled a smart classroom by facilitating the donation of a projector from Egate. A projector on a wall is a window to the world for children who have never seen learning come alive on a screen.

Higher education for young women from low-income families is often the first thing sacrificed when money is short. Elvar Trust supported the college fees of 4 young women through IJAM Charity — enabling them to continue their studies without the burden of fees derailing their future.

Many people in our community live with deteriorating vision for years because an eye test feels like an unaffordable luxury. At our free eye camp in Shivajinagar, approximately 150 people were screened at no cost — and 80 pairs of spectacles were given away free of charge.

International Childhood Cancer Day Awareness Walk

Community Mental Wellness Awareness Sessions
